VOLUMETRIC CONCRETE THE HISTORY

VOLUMETRIC CONCRETE THE HISTORY

Concrete technology is ancient but is still widely used in construction today. The Romans mixed concrete based on volume rather than weight more than 2,000 years ago. Mobile concrete mixing dates back to 1960s America. By the 1990s it was recognised as an approach that has a lot to offer in the modern environment.

You will benefit from the flexibility of this approach, regardless of concrete strength or the quantity you need.

Volumetric concrete is a cost-effective solution for road infrastructure companies, civil engineering, general builders, groundworkers, developers and DIY'ers infact anyone who needs concrete. It will fit with your timescale, budget and project requirements.

PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO CONSTRUCTION PROBLEMS

PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO CONSRTUCTION PROBLEMS

While it’s possible to recycle excess concrete, this comes at a cost. Palmix wants to help tackle this problem. We want to minimise the use of materials and water wherever possible to reduce the overall impact of concrete on the environment.

We are also conscious of the miles our materials travel. We’re based in Langford, North Somerset, and our suppliers are nearby. Our stone and sand come from two local quarries, both of which are less than 10 miles away. Our CEM 1 cement is from Hanson at Avonmouth, 18 miles away.

We can help you calculate the cubic metres of concrete you need and you can be confident we’ll arrive when you need us to complete your project.
