Concrete technology is ancient but is still widely used in construction today. The Romans mixed concrete based on volume rather than weight more than 2,000 years ago. Mobile concrete mixing dates back to 1960s America. By the 1990s it was recognised as an approach that has a lot to offer in the modern environment.

We are also conscious of the miles our materials travel. We’re based in Langford, North Somerset, and our suppliers are nearby. Our stone and sand come from two local quarries, both of which are less than 10 miles away. Our CEM 1 cement is from Hanson at Avonmouth, 18 miles away.
